Prison Rehabilitation Programs

Prison-based dog training programmes pair inmates with rescue dogs or service-dog puppies. Inmates learn responsibility, empathy and vocational skills while training dogs that go on to assist people with disabilities. Programmes have been shown to reduce reoffending and improve mental health on both sides of the leash.
