Health calculators

Two calculators for the moment you need an answer fast. They use accepted figures and show the maths — and below them, your Digital Pet Passport keeps ID and care dates on this device only. These tools are not a diagnosis and not a substitute for speaking to a vet.

In an emergency do not wait for a result on screen. Call your vet or a 24-hour veterinary clinic and describe what was eaten, when and how much.

Health & Emergency Calculators

Pet Age & Weight Calculator

A simple life-stage estimate. Breed, size, health and individual development all affect ageing.

29 years

Illustrative only, not a health or longevity assessment.

Weight calculator

Target weight is set by a vet from body condition (BCS), not by breed alone. The tool shows the gap as a percentage.

Cut treats to 10% of daily calories and add activity gradually.

Toxicity & Chocolate Risk Checker

Chocolate contains theobromine and caffeine, which dogs break down slowly. The calculation is milligrams per kg of body weight.

2.4 mg methylxanthines per gram — the darker the chocolate, the higher the risk for the same amount.

Below the known toxicity figure

Still watch the dog for 12–24 hours. If there is vomiting, restlessness, fast breathing or tremor — call a vet.

Accepted reference figures: above 20 mg/kg digestive symptoms, above 40 mg/kg effects on the heart, above 60 mg/kg risk of seizures. The toxicity figure differs between chocolate types, which is why the type is critical to the calculation.

Digital Pet Passport

Save your pet's ID and care dates. Everything stays on this device only. Nothing is sent to PawHub, and there are no emails or texts. Reminders show here as status badges.

UK microchip law: dogs must be microchipped by 8 weeks old (UK-wide). In England, cats must be microchipped by 20 weeks old. Keep your contact details up to date on the chip database.

You and your vet set the dates. PawHub doesn't recommend a vaccination schedule. Clearing your browser data deletes this passport.
